"Each piece is a one off, originally designed and handmade using only the best materials and finest quality handpicked gemstones from all over the world.
Jewellery making has been my passion for many years starting with my fascination as a child of my grandfather’s pieces and tools from his costume jewellery business
in Bohemia in the 1930’s right through my own development as an artist jeweller over the last 15 years.
The process of learning and refining new techniques or exploring the old traditional ways of this ancient craft is never ending and intriguing in itself.
Our style blends traditional elements with an appreciation for the simplicity of clean uncluttered lines and contemporary jewellery design.
David’s love of gems and unique collection have complemented and expanded my repertoire as a jeweller and designer.
I draw my inspiration from both my environment and the materials I use. The light, colours and shapes of nature, the properties of the different metals, the unique qualities of
each gemstone each influence the design.
I am also intrigued by contrast and the tension of the organic, natural or manmade, trying to marry the two into unique pieces.
Living in the Southwest, we are very fortunate to be able to experience and observe changes in nature all day every day. The West Australian native bush has a very unique flora
and fauna and the beautiful and dramatic shapes and colours of WA coastlines inspire me to explore and interpret them over and over again.
It’s colours and the clarity of light are reflected in the brilliance, sparkle and uniqueness of the precious and semi-precious stones we love to use."

About our Name
Tourmalines are precious stones displaying a unique splendour of colours. According to ancient Egyptian legend on the way from the Earth’s heart towards the sun ,Tourmaline
travelled along a rainbow. On it’s way it collected the colours of the rainbow. Hence it is known as the "Rainbow gemstone”.
The name "Tourmaline” has been derived from the Singhalese word "turamali”,
stone of mixed colours, in reference to the unique spectrum of colours it
displays, second to none
in the realm of precious gems. This precious gemstone is one of our favourites to use.
